Stories Under the Slates – Fundraising Complete!

We have now photographed the final 20 slates for Stories Under the Slates, marking the end of this wonderful community fundraising effort.

In total, 120 roof slates have been generously supported by our community. Each one carries a special memory, story or dedication – and a little piece of someone’s heart – helping protect and preserve Paignton Picture House for the future. Next month, these tiles will take their place on the roof, becoming a lasting part of the building’s story.

A huge thank you to Robbie Clymo from Paignton Photographic Club, who has been carefully photographing each slate for us along the way.

We’re so grateful to everyone who took part. Your support will quite literally help keep a roof over this historic cinema.
