Join the board of trustees
Help shape the next chapter of one of the UK’s oldest surviving purpose-built cinemas.
After more than 25 years in darkness, Paignton Picture House is preparing to reopen in 2027 as a restored independent cinema and cultural hub.
We’re looking for passionate, skilled and connected people to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the organisation as it moves towards reopening and beyond.
We’re particularly interested in expertise across finance, governance, heritage, cinema and culture, audiences and communities, marketing, fundraising, property, education, tourism and volunteering.
You don’t need previous trustee experience. We’re looking for people who bring good judgement, fresh perspectives, useful experience or networks – and a genuine commitment to what Paignton Picture House can become.
Trustee roles are voluntary, with an average commitment of around 6–8 hours per month. Applications close at 5pm on Thursday 12 November 2026.
