Why do you volunteer as a Trustee for Paignton Picture House?
I can remember watching films at the cinema as a child and I knew the projectionist Barry. Paignton needs high quality cultural projects like the cinema that can engage the local community and help drive economic regeneration. I hope my experience in community development and social enterprise can help the Picture House grow and grow.
What are you most looking forward to when we open?
The sense of pride in the local community to have a fantastic heritage asset back in use and accessible for all.
What is your favourite part of the building?
The front façade is great and I’m looking forward to the comfortable seating!
